Marc and Carla's Wedding

Cole and I are going to miss Marc and Carla a lot. When you work with a couple for so long, you develop a great working relationship and friendship. Marc and Carla were our first couple of this year and our last wedding of 2009. They were always so easy going and yet so fun to be around because they were up for just about anything. On their wedding day, I spent most of the morning hanging out with Carla and the girls at Cali Hair Studio in Virginia Beach. It was a beautiful wedding at The Holy Spirit Church and an AWESOME reception at Dam Neck Shifting Sands! There was so much going on and so many people at their wedding and reception that time just flew by. It was great to see a mix of generations dancing, laughing, and hanging out. Cole and I want to personally thank Marc, Carla, their families and friends for everything! God bless and we wish you both the best!

Steven and Debbie's Engagement

I'm always curious to know how people meet each other and when I heard Steven and Debbie's story I thought it was cute yet funny. Debbie was going through her phone a couple years ago and was deleting old numbers. Debbie got to Steven's phone number, thought for a second, and then decided to call him. Steven was hanging out with some friends and after a little bit figured out who he was talking to. Years later, here they are - in love and engaged. Cole and I loved hanging out with them at First Landing Park and had a lot of laughs. We learned some awesome facts about the foilage from Steven (he's pretty knowledgeable about forestry). Look out for this fun couple next year when we shoot their wedding!

April, Tim and Jordan

April came to us looking for a Fall family shoot with her husband, Tim, and daughter, Jordan. We went to Botanical Gardens and hung out for an afternoon. I used to think that children were easy to shoot, but I met little Jordan and she proved me wrong. Jordan is an adorable girl and is just an unpredictable character. She moves soooo fast and like all other kids.... just wants to do her thing! We had some fun times that day and Jordan even went home with a well deserved toy - a couple leaves that were almost the size of her body. April told me that Jordan passed out and slept forever after our shoot....I didn't tell her (until now) that I passed out too!
