Kayden

A couple of weeks ago we did a shoot for 2 month old Kayden. I am a sucker for eyes and Kayden has the bluest eyes I have ever seen on a baby. After a couple of crybaby (no pun intended) moments and one "accident", he relaxed and did great! Babies are something that Cole and I just love being around and we can't wait to have one (or a couple) of our own. If I could just get over the fear of touching poop and a diaper.....

Jessica and Daniel's Wedding

On June 13th 2009, we experienced something that was just plain beautiful - Jessica and Daniel's Wedding. The whole team was there - Mike, Cole and I - at the Hermitage Museum in Norfolk and I must say that everything about that place is just awesome. The day started out a little sketchy with rain and all we could do was pray to the weather gods for clear skies. Well, they heard us and around 5 PM the sun peeked out and the stage was set for a gorgeous wedding and reception outside. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this day and loved working with Jessica and Daniel and their family and friends. I would like to thank Valerie for everything she did to keep us in the loop and assure her that the "crows" would be proud......

Rozalyn and Mike's Engagement Session

I have to start off by saying this - "Mike and Roz, you are two funny characters!" Everything this couple did was hilarious and just plain goofy. They were both natural comedians behind the camera and had us laughing the whole time. When couples can be so natural and fun behind the camera, it makes everything we do as photographers a piece of cake. Roz and Mike showed us that not everyone has to be so serious and be on their best behavior when in public. When you are comfortable around a person and enjoy their prescence, everything else just comes so natural. We certainly enjoyed their company that morning and know that their wedding day will be quite interesting!

Krystal and Steven's Engagement Session

Another great day for an engagement session at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens! A bit warm and humid, but nothing we aren't used to by now as Virginians. We spent the morning with Krystal and Steven at the gardens walking throughout the park and seeking shade when we broke sweats and faces began to turn red. We took some awesome pictures and I have created a unique photo style for them. They are high school sweethearts who are all grown up and ready to take the plunge. We are excited to work with them and look forward to their wedding in August!
