I must say that this was another great wedding filled with great emotion - laughs, crying, and a whooole lot of dancing. Our day started with everyone getting ready at the Aldergate Church in Chesapeake and ended at the beautiful Planter's Club House in Suffolk. Both venues are a gorgeous site to see and perfect place to celebrate a wedding. Jessica and Doug were an awesome couple to work with and so laid back in how they do things. We knew from their engagement session that they had great personalities and Doug was going to be the one to watch at the reception :) Congratulations to Jessica and Doug and thanks to the families for everything they did to make it a beautiful day :)

Jen, Louis, Marqus and Maddie
Jen is my sister and she came to us with the need for some overdue family pictures. I guess me following them around at the house with my camera isn't enough. Well, we got together for a shoot at Botanical Gardens and had some good times. It was a little tough to get a baby and a teenager to cooperate. When you think about it, they both are different in age, but the same in behavior - they both want to do whatever they want! We had fun though and I always encourage people to get out there and get some family pictures done. Family is important and they will always be there for you.

Baby Oliver, Anja and Carlos
Today I admit that I am an "eye guy" and boy am I a sucker for nice eyes. Cole and I did a shoot for baby Oliver and we were just blown away at his big blue eyes. Such a smart and handsome little guy..... mama may have a hard time keeping the girls away from him! Anja came to us looking for a shoot of Oliver in his natural environment being "just him". We were definitely up for that task. Babies are so unpredictable - crawling, standing, drooling, crying - but yet so fun to shoot. We followed Oliver around their beautiful home and let him be himself. It was exciting to observe and watch him just be so active. It wasn't long before we wore him out and he was ready for his nap, but we got what we needed. Check out a preview of our day....

Marc and Carla's Formals
You guys might remember Marc and Carla from their engagement session in February. Well, they're back and this time they came to me with a unique request. Rather than having a bridal session, they decided they wanted to have a formal couple shoot on the beach at sunset. After days of clouds and spotty rain, I was a little worried about the sun not poking out behind the clouds. It turned out to be the perfect day for what they wanted. We hung out at the beach for a little while waiting for the perfect moment and the results turned out awesome! Their wedding day is around the corner and the whole team will be there for the fun!
